Hi !
You don't need a lot of expensive stock screeners to find strong stocks that you can trade. 😉 In the member community and in my video course I offer 2 ways to screen for strong stocks: MarketSmith and FinViz screeners. 📊
MarketSmith is a great tool if you are a professional trader and want to save a lot of time. It offers you screening and fundamentals in one tool. But that convenience has its price. 💰 Most traders cannot afford the tool.
FinViz is a great free tool! It's very powerful and you can find all strong stocks with it. I discuss multiple screeners in detail in my video course and how you can use them. The downside of the tool is that the fundamentals are not always reliable. So you have to do some more work. 🧐
Here is a free FinViz screener for you I personally use the most: "Strongest stocks". The settings 👇
✅ MarketCap: +Small (over $300mln). That sorts out all illiquid micro cap stocks which are much riskier. ✅ Price: Over $7. You only want to see stocks with a higher price, because institutions usually ignore penny stocks and they are not so liquid and supported. ✅ 50-Day Simple Moving Average: Price above SMA50. Stock price should be in an uptrend and above the Simple Moving Average 50. ✅ 52-Week High/Low: 70% or more above low. That's the most important filter! It finds all strong stocks that had a powerful momentum move. It's a clear sign for a high demand. ✅ Average Volume: Over 100k. You want to focus on liquid stocks with a higher trading volume which have more support. Everything below 100k average volume are often ignored by institutions. ✅ Industry: Stocks only. You want to sort out all ETFs.
